A walk around Cockshott Point
Back in Victorian Times the small headland between Bowness bay and Ferry Nab, known as Cockshott Point, was popular with tourists, and also attracted a large number of illegal street traders. Such were the profits to be gained by the traders that when the local authorities fined them they simply put it down to experience, paid up and went back to their stalls.
Nowadays the traders have gone, and this delightful headland is well worth a visit if you just want a short stroll before sunset. Anyway, don't just take our word for it, check out the video to see for yourselves.
